The groundwork comes first.

Most driveways fail from the bottom up: they sink, puddle and push weeds through. So we dig to 250 mm, compact a deep stone base and set every edge in concrete. The surface you choose stays level, dry and good-looking for decades.

Questions? Answers.

How much does a new driveway cost?

Tarmac starts from £70/m² and block paving from £95/m². A typical 50 m² block drive, including excavation and spoil removal, usually lands between £5,500 and £7,500. The survey turns that range into one fixed figure.

Do I need planning permission?

Usually not, provided a front garden surface over 5 m² is permeable or drains to a lawn or border. If it would run off onto the road, permission is needed. We design every front drive to stay within the rules and explain how in the quote.

How long will the work take?

Most driveways take five to ten working days and most patios four to seven. The fixed price includes a start date and a planned finish, and we tell you early if the weather moves either.

Will you take the old surface away?

Yes. Breaking out, loading and licensed disposal of the old surface and spoil is itemised in every quote, not added on later.

Do I need to be at home?

No. We need access, an outside tap and somewhere for the skip or grab lorry. We will tell you the days the drive cannot be used and keep a way to your front door open.

What guarantee do I get?

A ten-year written workmanship guarantee that transfers to the next owner if you sell. You pay nothing until the work is finished and you have walked it with us.
